Zhang Yong, Executive Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the CPC, Visits Hefei Debo to Extend Greetings to Expert, Zhang Shoujun, Recipient of National Science and Technology Progress Award
On August 12, Zhang Yong, the Executive Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the CPC, alongside Lu Xiaohua, Full-time Vice Chairperson of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, led a delegation to visit Hefei Debo Bioenergy Technology Co., Ltd. The visit aimed to inspect company operations and extend formal greetings to Zhang Shoujun, Chairman of Debo and member of China National Democratic Construction Association(CDNCA), delivering a congratulatory letter from the General Office of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and written instructions from Liang Yanshun, Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the CPC.
During the inspection symposium, Zhang Yong praised the major scientific achievements delivered by Zhang Shoujun and his team. He noted that Zhang Shoujun has been deeply rooted in Anhui for years, focusing on biomass resource utilization technologies and winning the Second prize of national-level sci-tech progress award, making him an outstanding representative of non-Party scientific talent in independent innovation. The United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee sent a special congratulatory letter, and the principal leaders of the Provincial Party Committee made instructions of encouragement, which fully demonstrates the great importance that the CPC Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee attach to non-Party intellectuals and scientific and technological innovation.. Zhang Yong encouraged Zhang Shoujun to keep these instructions in mind, continue striving for technological breakthroughs, adhere to technological self-reliance, and accelerate the commercial deployment of advanced green energy technologies. He also highlighted the importance of contributing to new quality productive forces, the national "Dual Carbon" strategy, and rural revitalization, while leveraging his CDNCA membership to actively participate in political consultation and serve as an advocate and practitioner of technological innovation.
Zhang Shoujun expressed sincere gratitude for the care extended by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and the long- term support provided by the Provincial Party Committee leadership. He reported on the technical research journey, core innovative achievements, and future strategic plans. He stated that receiving the central congratulatory letter and the Secretary of the Provincial Committee's instructions was deeply inspiring. The honor belongs to the entire industry- university-research collaborative team. Moving forward, the team will continue focusing on frontier directional thermochemical biomass conversion, addressing key technical challenges, and scaling up demonstration applications for gasification-coupled power generation, biomass biochar-syngas poly-generation, and complete biomass-based hydrogen,methanol, and SAF production systems. Based in Anhui, we will build a hub for renewable energy innovation and use scientific and technological innovation to empower the high-quality development of green and low-carbon industries, thereby living up to the expectations of leaders at all levels.
The delegation reviewed biomass poly-generation process flows and market applications, engaging in discussions on biomass waste utilization, scientific achievement translation, and corporate growth priorities.
