Hefei Debo and Maersk Group jointly promote the industrialization of green methanol
On August 15th,Hefei Debo Bioenergy Science&Technology Co.,Ltd (Hefei Debo) and A.P.Moller Maersk(Maersk)Group signed a letter of intent on green methanol supply and procurement to jointly promote the industrialization of biomass gas to produce green methanol,realize the commercial closed-loop of the whole industrial chain from biomass gasification, marine green methanol synthesis and application, ensure the green fuel supply of large container ships of Maersk Group, and promote the global carbon neutral action. According to the letter of intent, Debo will build a bio based green methanol project of at least 200,000 tons / year, which is expected to be put into commercial operation in September 2024. Hefei Debo uses agricultural and forestry wastes as raw materials and uses its independently developed pyrolysis gasification equipment synthesis technology to prepare green methanol. Maersk promises to purchase this fuel.
