Mr.Karim, director of China decarbonization business from Maersk group, visited Debo to investigate and exchange for biomass gasification for synthesis green methanol technology
On January 24th,2024,Mr.Karim ,the director of China decarbonization business from Maersk group, the world's largest shipping company, visited Debo for investigation and exchange,Mr.Shoujun Zhang, the chairman of Debo Bioenergy received Mr. Karim's delegation and had in-depth exchanges on the technology and industrial application of biomass gasification to synthesize green methanol.
Mr.Karim visited biomass pure oxygen gasification hydrogen fuel cell power generation project invested and constructed by Debo Energy, as well as the Feixi biomass gasification multi generation project and the Anqing Huaining biomass gasification project.During this on-site inspection, Mr. Karim highly appreciated Debo Energy's outstanding achievements and accumulated rich experience in biomass gasification technology, and deeply understood the actual operation status and technical details of these projects. He expressed admiration for Debo Energy's 16 year commitment to the research and industrial application of biomass gasification technology, and looked forward to the prospects of future cooperation between the two sides. Mr. Karim stated that Debo Energy's biomass gasification technology will play an important role in the green and low-carbon transformation of the global shipping industry.
Mr.Shoujun Zhang gave a detailed introduction to Mr. Karim and his delegation about Debo Energy's innovation and breakthroughs in biomass gasification synthesis technology. By introducing innovative achievements, this paper analyzes the cost reduction and efficiency improvement brought by Debo's biomass gasification technology for synthesizing green methanol, and demonstrates typical cases of small-scale, pilot, and industrial operation in the field of biomass gasification over the past 16 years. And it emphasizes that continuous technological innovation and application model innovation are the key to the survival and development of Debo.
Maersk Group signed an intention to purchase green methanol with Hefei Debo on August 15th, 2022. Debo has completed most of the feasibility study and preliminary design work for the 200,000 ton green methanol project. Its core gasification furnace equipment adopts a positive pressure biomass gasification device with independent intellectual property rights. This device will be China's first biomass gasification green methanol project in the next 1-2 years.
The relevant responsible persons of Three Gorges Group and Lu'an Environment participated in the exchange.
